Fall Concert coming soon!

Our fall concert is quickly approaching! Before we know it, October 22nd will be here and we'll be ready to take the stage.  We unfortunately had to postpone this concert due to some unforeseen conflicts (it's original date was suppose to be October 15), but we're all happy we get a little extra time to do some work on our music. 

​So far this year, in all three of our choirs at Sprayberry, we've been working on building our musicianship skills.  Every day at the beginning of our classes, we do sight reading exercises to improve our sight reading abilities and our musical ears.  It's been a slow process, but I'm happy to report that progress is being made across all choirs! We've been able to bump each choir up to the next level of sight reading, and that's exciting! 

​Another thing we have been working on is creating a beautiful choral tone.  We've spent a great amount of time talking about vocal technique, and what it means to sing in a choir with other people.  We've been developing our understanding of the voice and training our ears to listen to the people around us in order to create a blended sound.  

​We've only got one week of rehearsals left before our concert! We're excited, and I hope you are, too!
